Permainan tersebut memang sangat menyenangkan untuk Anak-anak, akan tetapi permainan tersebut bisa menjadi tempat yang berbahaya untuk sang anak jika tempat mandi bola tersebut tidak dibersihkan. Inilah yang menjadi masalah.
Saya akan menyebutkan beberapa kisah tentang permainan mandi bola ini, seringkali ada banyak keluhan dan kisah permainan ini, yang diceritakan oleh para orang tua yang anaknya menjadi korban, dan orang-orang yang melihat anak tetangga yang menjadi korban.
Seperti seseorang yang share tentang sebuah kejadian yang menimpa anak tetangganya, di daerah Bandung. Dia menceritakan, ketika hari libur itu biasanya para orang tua akan mengajak anak-anaknya liburan atau bermain. Nah, tetangganya itu memiliki seorang anak perempuan yang umurnya sekitar 3 atau 4 tahun.
Sang orang tua mengajak anaknya untuk mandi bola di salah satu mall, kota Bandung. Ada saat bermain bola, anaknya masih sehat, demikian juga keesokan harinya dia juga masih sehat, Dia masih bisa sekolah Pre-School (semacam TK kecil, atau dibawahnya lagi). Saat pulang sekolah juga dia Masih sehat.
Hingga masuk kedua dan ketiga dari waktu bermain permainan mandi bola itu, dia masih baik-baik saja, mungkin ada sedikit gejala kecil (yang tidak terlalu dirasakan), akan tetapi namanya anak-anak yang umurnya masih 3 atau 4 tahun, belum bisa menyampaikannya kepada orang tuanya.
Nah pada hari keempat ini, dari waktu bermain mandi bola. Tiba-tiba tanpa suatu gejala, anak tersebut tidak bisa berjalan. Pas ditanya, Anak itu juga tidak mengeluh ada bagian tubuhnya yang sakit. Anak itu hanya dengan polosnya berkata ke ibunya “mama.. kok Riska ngga bisa jalan ya ma”.
Dan akhirnya, Ibunya pun membawanya ke sebuah Rumah sakit di Bandung. Setelah diperiksa oleh dokter, maka dokter mengambil kesimpulan bahwa Risma (sang anak) terkena kuman. Kemudian pada besok harinya, Riska dirujuk ke RS.Hasan Sadikin karena disana terdapat DSA (dokter spesialis anak), yang tentunya sudah sering untuk menangani kasus seperti ini.
Setelah diteliti lebih dalam, maka DSA di Hasan Sadikin menemukan bahwa Riska terkena virus, yang virus tersebut menyebar melalui sumsum tulang belakang, hingga akhirnya virus tersebut pada akhirnya akan merambat ke otak.
Menurut sang dokter khusus spesialis anak tersebut , virus yang menyerang sang anak ini masih sangat jarang ditemukan di Indonesia, sehingga belum diwajibkan sama IDAI. Dan dokter juga menambahkan bahwa penyebaran virus ini sangat rentan untuk menyerang balita dan orang tua di atas umur 60 tahun.
Kemudian sang Anak dirawat dengan disuntik pada setiap harinya, biaya menyuntiknya tersebut sangat tinggi . Sang Dokter tidak bisa menjamin apa-apa, karena memang kondisi sang anak sudah cukup parah, sang Dokter hanya berusaha untuk mencegah penyebaran virusnya tersebut.
Sang Ibu bertanya tentang asal virus, karena beberapa hari yang lalu sang anak memang bermain mandi bola, maka sang dokter menaggapi bahwa penyebabnya belum tentu karena permainan mandi bola.
Akan tetapi ketika Ibu sang anak bercerita dengan kakak iparnya, maka ternyata ada kejadian serupa dimana anak teman kantornya terkena virus yang sama, dan kejadiannya juga setelah bermain mandi bola juga.
Menurut DSA dari teman kakaknya, bahwa tempat mandi bola itu memang menjadi tempat penularan virus apapun dengan sangat cepat, hal ini karena tempat mandi bola merupakan tempat umum.
Ditambah lagi, pihak dari taman bermain itu jarang mencuci bolanya, dan dalam keadaan ruangan yang tertutup dan juga lembab (tidak terkena sinar matahari), maka tempat mandi bola memang menjadi tempat bersemayam-nya virus, terutama jika tempat tersebut jarang dibersihkan.
Dengan cerita ini tentunya orang tua perlu waspada ketika mengajak anaknya bermain mandi bola, pastikan bahwa tempat bermain mandi bola tersebut memang rutin dibersihkan.

Untuk kisah kedua, maka terjadi di Negara Amerika Serikat pada Tahun 1998, sudah lama sekali memang. Untuk kasus kedua ini, memang berbau sarbotase. Orang yang bercerita ini tinggal di Plano, daerah Texas. Ternyata benar, telah ditemukan di tangannya yang menderita gigitan ular di sekitar lengan dan pantatnya. Dan akhirnya yang menyedihkan, sang anak akhirnya meninggal dunia. Dan ketika kolam bola dibersihkan, maka ditemukan sarang ular berbisa di dasar kolam bola tersebut. Dan sang Anak kecil telah menderita sejumlah gigitan dari ular-ular berbisa tersebut. Kemungkinan besar kasus ini, merupakan sebuah sarbotase.

Ini adalah kisah yang nyata, dimana seseorang mendapat dari milis HIMASAD (HIMA Sastra Jerman UNPAD), yang berdasarkan pengalaman salah satu temannya, kehilangan putranya yang berumur 3 tahun.
Kejadian tersebut ketika ada sebuah pesta ulang tahun seorang anak di salah satu restoran cepat saji, setelah selesai makan, sang anak bermain di kolam bola. Dan tidak lama kemudian, terdengar suara si anak yang berteriak kesakitan. Dia mengatakan bahwa pantatnya terasa sangat sakit, seperti tertusuk sesuatu benda.
Dan setelah di lihat oleh ibunya, ternyata terdapat sebuah bilur merah kecil. Beberapa hari kemudian sang ibu mulai merasakan ada yang tidak beres pada memar di pantat anaknya tersebut yang semakin membengkak.
